Humbling the Proud

One of the most monumental and fundamental characteristics that Jesus wants to instill in his followers is humility. Note, humility is NOT weakness. Jesus, our ultimate example of humility, was anything BUT weak... but he was humble--because he always counted others needs before his own. We get this so wrong sometimes--just like the Pharisees in today's text. Listen and pray for the grace to live humbly like Christ. "For the one who exalts himself WILL be humbled and the one who humbles himself will be exalted."
