Right now, Harvest Students (8th-12th) meet as a group a few times a year for retreats, fellowship and mission opportunities. We are not a typical “program”-driven church. We pray for our students to experience real community here with the ENTIRE Harvest family (all ages) as we worship and do “life” together.
Youth Retreats
Both Middle and High School students are invited to go away at least once a year with other adult leaders and churches of our Diocese for times of retreat! We typically go away for a weekend to worship, hear and digest biblical teaching and of course, have fun!
“Campfire Conversations”
Occasionally, our students gather at Pastor Travis’ home with other adult volunteers to just talk about issues of life and faith around the campfire. This setting always breeds open and honest discussion to help build and equip our kids for a life of faith and discipleship.
Typical Sunday Night Hangout
Occasionally, we even offer a time for the kids to come and just hang out, play backyard games, swim, etc… to build relationships and community. When we do these events, we gather at Pastor Travis’ home with other adult ministry leaders. Check the calendar to see our next gathering.
“Big’s” Chicks
“Big” is an affectionate nickname of one of our senior high adult leaders, Mary Carol Abercrombie. She is called that because she has a HUGE personality! This Senior high girls group occasionally meets at Culver’s or somewhere similar for food, encouragement and Bible study! Find out more info HERE.
